2 days after the fair, I received a phone call that one of my family members passed away, suddenly and tragically....
Everything in my life stopped with LSBE, no advertising, no orders come through, nothing. Which Im thankful for because I just needed to heal from the loss.
Its now been 8 days since the fair, and Im trying to get back into the swing of things, starting this blog is one of those things. I spent most of the evening yesterday and morning today, advertising, researching where to advertise more and just trying to get life back into LSBE.
I would love to get some orders though, not just to help pay back the checking account, but just so I know that others love our products as much as the handful of people who have experienced the natural way of taking care of their bodies.
My new byline is: Try us, once you get it, you'll never go back.

The launch of our webstore....
As I left off, on June 1, 2008, we launched www.lonestarbodyessentials.com!
Not as ceremonious as in our dreams, but nonetheless, its out there and its all our's!!
Within a week we had 2 orders made and delivered!!
Week 2 brought us an invitation to a local fair, IN 2 WEEKS! *gulp* We had to make soaps, and scrubs, and salts and massage oils lLOTS of all!! OH MY!!
We worked straight through week 3, but no orders came through the webstore. I hate to admit it out loud, but Im thankful, as we worked right up to the night before the fair getting everything together! Packaging, labeling, making everything, it was a whirlwind 2 weeks!
I didnt sleep the night before in excitement, I get to tell everyone who comes through about us, about what we are offering, how incrediable the products are.
The morning came, we are right on time, get set up and people came through. We sold well, I think better than most there, some vendors didnt sell anything :( We gave out lots of samples, lots of business cards, spoke with many people and had a blast!!!
We even were invited to several upcoming fairs, WOO HOO....
Then our personal life got turned upside down......

The beginnings of our webstore....
The beginning of this webstore started about 6 or 8 months ago.
We spent many hours learning what makes a great all natural soap, 3-sugar scrub, sea salt bath crystal and massage oil.
We moved to our kitchen to test out the recipes, we thought that was the beginning to the end for LSBE, until we perfected that first batch of soap, then we knew, we could continue with the other products we dreamed of offering. The testing phase took about 5 months, but we did it!!!
4 of our very own, awesome all natural bath and body product recipes! How gratifying!
Next we have to send out samples.... We gathered several friends and family to try them out, and then the reviews came in! Everything was a hit, but the sugar scrub, so back to the drawing board I went....
3 weeks later, finally, a scrub everyone loves WOO HOO!!
